Seaman retires from Schreiner University
The Rev. Frank Seaman has retired from Schreiner University. Seaman has been an ordained Presbyterian minister for more than 40 years. He served seven years in the school’s advancement department as Schreiner’s director of church relations. Prior to coming to Schreiner, Seaman was pastor at Northwood Presbyterian Church in San Antonio for 15 years.
“My seven years at Schreiner was the perfect cap after 40 years of parish ministry,” Seaman said. “As I traveled around the state visiting with churches and pastors spreading the word about Schreiner, I had the opportunity to renew old friends and acquaintances, meet new pastors that I had not known before and get onsite tours of many churches, old and new.”
Seaman said he enjoyed his time at Schreiner. “Perhaps my greatest joy was getting to know Schreiner University and its students, faculty and staff,” Seaman said. “In just a few weeks I knew I was in the right place. As time went on, it became quite clear to me that this is a school of which I could be (and am) quite proud. The talent, enthusiasm, loyalty and commitment to the school by almost all its employees from the grounds crew to the administration are remarkable. Even though I am now retired, I treasure the lifelong friendships that developed over the past seven years, and will continue my support for this unique and forward-looking school.”
Seaman and his wife Gerry live in San Antonio and have two grown children, Denyse, a member of the library faculty at Baylor University, and Mark, who teaches at Stephen F. Austin University.
