Schreiner women shooters make good showing
The women of Schreiner University’s Shooting Sports Team made a strong showing recently in trap at the USA Shooting Fall Selection Match in Colorado Springs, CO. The Schreiner team included two freshmen, Tori Burch from Mountain Home and Caitlin Barney from Ingram, as well as junior Rachael Heiden from Clinton, MI, and sophomore Kelsey Zauhar from Kerrville.
Heiden finished in fourth place and Burch in sixth place in the Junior Division. Burch also finished 11th overall.
These are strong finishes, especially considering they were shooting against the best in the U.S.,” said Bill Thomas, coach of the women’s and men’s shooting teams. “We have every reason to be extremely proud of their achievements.” For more information about Schreiner Shooting Sports Society, visit the Web here.
