Greystone is Kerrville ‘Volunteer of the Year’

Greystone logo Greystone at Schreiner University was honored with the Mary C. Williams Volunteer of the Year award by the Kerrville Area Chamber of Commerce at its annual banquet and awards dinner Sept. 4.     

Greystone is a college-level preparatory program for students who want to earn an appointment to one of the U.S. military academies.

The 11 members of the 2007-08 class put in more than 2,300 hours volunteering for such local organizations as Habitat for Humanity and Big Brother Big Sister. In addition to volunteering, the 2008 class maintained an average GPA of 3.66 at Schreiner and all 11 earned appointments to service academies.
