KERRVILLE, Texas — Graduates of Schreiner University’s
vocational nursing program received their diplomas at a campus ceremony held
on August 8, 2008, before an audience of friends, family and members of the
University’s academic faculty. Members of the graduating class are: Andre’
Botha of Boerne, son of Adriaan and Trixie Botha; Camaran Melissa Breshears
of Fredericksburg, daughter of Mike and Kelley Carwile; Vanessa Rae Cox of
Harper, daughter of Jim and Diana Pearson; Tina M. Durden of Comfort,
daughter of Earl and Betty Pankrate; Nancy Espinoza of Fredericksburg,
daughter of Sisto and Linda Espinoza; Kristan Farnham of Kerrville, daughter
of Karen Crouch; Olivia S. Flores of Comfort, daughter of Jesus Garay and
Martha Guerrero; Achsah Holekamp of Kerrville, daughter of Teddy Holekamp
and Gail Stanford; Ashley Imholte of Pipe Creek, daughter of Daniel and
Brenda Imholte; Catherine W. Kern of Kerrville, daughter of Kurt and Pat
Weinheimer; Katia Lopez of Stonewall, daughter of Lucio and Rosa Lopez;
Carey M. Palm of Hunt, vice-president of the nursing class, and daughter of
Chester and Sharon Richter; Sharon Marie Pintsch of Kerrville, president of
the nursing class; Christin M. Pyeatt, of Kerrville, daughter of Carolyn
Pyeatt; Laurie Rhodes of Kerrville, daughter of Pete and Judy Kimmey; Leah
Nicole Rios, of Lakehills; Mathew Rodriguez of Bandera, son of Ray and Linda
Rodriguez; Michelle Saltsman of Splendora; Karen Van Patten of Kerrville,
daughter of Walter W. III and Shirley D. Welton; Brittany Woolls of Ingram,
daughter of Richard and Penny Woolls and Treva Gwyn, and Alicia Melissa
Zamora of Kerrville, daughter of Emilio and Alicia Zamora.
Tina Durden was recognized for excellence in academic achievement. Andre
Botha and Catherine Kern were recognized for outstanding clinical
performance. Lauren Perez was the recipient of the appreciation award.
The speaker for the commencement was Dr. Anand Mehendale.
