LBJ Library director to speak at
Schreiner
Betty Sue Flowers,
director of the
Lyndon Baines Johnson Library and Museum at the University of
Texas ¬ Austin, will speak at Schreiner University, 7 p.m.,
Monday, Feb. 18. Flowers’ talk is part of Schreiner’s Max and
Freda
Thomas Lectures series, and will take place in the Floyd and
Kathleen Cailloux Campus Activity Center on the Schreiner campus.
She will speak on the topic “Using the Future to Create the Present:
Leadership and Imagination.”
Flowers, a native of Texas, was a consultant on the PBS series “The
Power of Myth” with Bill Moyers and Joseph Campbell. She edited the
four books that arose from that series and has published extensively
herself, including three books of poetry.
