Schreiner professor invited to speak at Rice

Dr. Ronald Hatchett, Director of the Center for Global Studies at Schreiner University, has been invited to participate in the summer Advanced Topics Institute hosted by Rice University. He will speak to a group of advanced placement teachers about Balkan conflicts past and present as part of a World History Academy.

The academies are content-intensive lectures given by distinguished faculty for experienced AP teachers. The institute is part of Rice’s Susanne M. Glasscock School of Continuing Studies.

  Dr. Ronald Hatchett


Dr. Hatchett’s expertise lies in foreign policy, European Studies and Middle Eastern Affairs, and he is a frequent commentator on local and national television and radio news programs. He has taught at several universities, including Texas A&M and the United States Air Force Academy, and spent 20 years as a U.S. Air Force officer dealing with intelligence and politico-military affairs.
