Schreiner professor to discuss turtles and extinction
 

Schreiner University will present the last Robert P. Hallman Chautauqua Lecture Series of 2008 at 7 p.m., Monday, March 31, in the theater of the Floyd & Kathleen Cailloux Campus Activity Center on the Schreiner University campus.

Dr. Diana Comuzzie, professor of biology and dean of the Robert B. Trull School of Sciences and Mathematics at Schreiner University, will speak on “Why I Care About Turtles: Does It Matter If One Endangered Species Goes Extinct?”

Comuzzie, whose graduate work focused on sea turtle behavior and communication, established a turtle habitat at Schreiner that is used for undergraduate research.
