Schreiner
University instructor
Sally Hannay will host a Monday Night Fiction discussion
of
Ian McEwan’s “Atonement” at 7 p.m., Monday,
April 14, in the Scarle-Philips room of Logan Library on
the Schreiner campus.
McEwan is a prize-winning author whose works have a
reputation for being chilling. “Atonement,” about the
consequences of a child’s lie, won the WH Smith Literary
Award, National Book Critics’ Circle Fiction Award, Los
Angeles Times Prize for Fiction and the Santiago Prize for
the European Novel.
Critics praised the major motion picture adaptation of the
book that was released last year and it was also the winner
of several major awards.
This literary event is free and open to the public,
and refreshments will be served. For more information on
