Attorney Randall Lee
Roberts, a former
Schreiner student and
chairman of Schreiner’s
Board of Trustees, will
deliver the commencement
address. Since 1973, Roberts
has been a member of the
Potter Minton law firm in
Tyler, Tex., and has taught
a course in mass media law
at the University of Texas
in Tyler. He is an attorney
mediator and a fellow of the
Texas Bar Association, and
in 1994 he was awarded the
T.B. Butler Award as Tyler's
Most Outstanding Citizen.
Also on May 10, Schreiner’s
traditional Baccalaureate
Ceremony will be held at
10:30 a.m. in the
Edington Center. The
Reverend Robert Elder, a
pastor in the Presbyterian
Church (USA) for 34 years,
will give the baccalaureate
address. Dr. Elder has
served as Moderator of the
Presbytery of the Cascades
(Oregon), and as a member of
the General Assembly Council
of the Presbyterian Church.
He is the author of
"Restoring the Future" and
his second book, “Worth the
Wait,” will be out this
summer.
