Schreiner design students create for local business

Students from Schreiner University’s upper-level graphic design class, taught by Dr. David Smith, recently were asked to design a logo for the Young Men’s Business League of Kerrville. YMBL has a primarily charitable focus and its members are responsible for developing and supporting DreamKamp, a program that sends at-risk young people of middle school age to Camp La Junta at no charge to the students’ families. Schreiner students came up with more than 10 designs; the design that YMBL chose was a collaboration between two students.

“Upper-level graphic design courses work only on projects for real clients who come into the classroom,” Smith said. “I work with businesses and organizations to bring them in as part of our normal curriculum.”
