Schreiner University’s Ethics Team brought home two trophies and $500 from the 2008 Ethics Match, an annual competition sponsored by the Texas Independent College Foundation. Team members Kathy Calhoun, a junior from Kerrville; Kristi Click, a senior from Dallas; Nichole Mariakis, a senior from Harper; Samantha Jones, a senior from Kerrville; and Kelli Kunz, a senior from Johnson City took second place in the East Division competition and third place overall.
 

Schreiner University’s business Ethics Team recently won second place in the East Division and third place overall in an annual competition sponsored by the Texas Independent College Foundation. The Ethics Match was established to provide a forum to discuss applied business ethics and to raise awareness of the value of independent higher education and of the discussion and reasoned argument that are the foundation of liberal arts education.

“Diversity changes are partially influencing our moral compass, which often contributes to business dilemmas,” said Dr. Torti. “Schreiner University Ethics Team members debated such business dilemmas at the Ethics Match on October 30-31.”
