Schreiner Coffeehouse series to present Walt Wilkins November 5

Schreiner University and the Texas Heritage Music Foundation will bring Walt Wilkins (and a few friends) to the Texas Music Coffeehouse series on Wednesday, Nov. 5. The coffeehouse will be 7-9 p.m. in the Lion’s Den, the snack bar area in The Floyd & Kathleen Cailloux Campus Activity Center on the Schreiner campus.

Wilkins, a San Antonio native, has made a major name for himself as a songwriter and performer. His songs include “Songs about Texas” and “Rubie’s 2 Sad Daughters” (Pat Green), “Seven Hillsides” (Ricky Skaggs) and “Big Hopes” (Ty Herndon).

For more information about the Coffeehouse series, contact Dr. Kathleen Hudson at 830-792-7409. For more information about Walt Wilkins, visit the Web site for him and his band, www.waltwilkins.com.
