Schreiner Honors Colloquium investigates Olympics
Schreiner University honor students will present three papers on the theme “Investigating the Olympics” at 5:10 p.m., Wednesday, April 22, in the theater in the Floyd and Kathleen Cailloux Campus Activity Center on the Schreiner Campus. The three papers will be “Crossing the Line: Ethics and the Olympics,” Olympic Athletes: Motivation, Inspiration, Science and Sacrifice” and Olympics Today, Business Tomorrow: Perceptions, Commercialization and Ethics in the Olympic Games.”
The Honors Colloquium is free and open to the public. It is being offered in conjunction with Mick Haley’s visit to the campus on Wednesday, April 29. Haley is an Olympic women’s volleyball coach and will speak at 6 p.m. in the CCAC theater “The Olympic Experience: A Coach’s View.”
