Schreiner University Vocational Nursing Graduates recognized at ceremony
KERRVILLE, Texas—Graduates of Schreiner University’s vocational nursing program received their diplomas during commencement ceremonies held in the Dietert Auditorium on August 14, before an audience of friends, family and members of the University’s academic faculty.
Members of the graduating class are: Hannah Belew, daughter of Harley and Rebecca Belew, served as vice-president of the nursing class; Kayla Escobedo, daughter of Corky and Gina Sullivan; Lindsey Hawkes, daughter of Stewart and Heather Davis, served as class treasurer; Tracy Huntington, daughter of Dale Reveglia; Dorothy Martinez; Maranda McInnis, daughter of Troy and Serena Way, served as class historian; Kristen Merritt, daughter of John and Sue Merritt; Stefanie Murray, daughter of Steve and Sandra Parman; Jennifer Trevino, daughter of Richard and Alice Trevino, and Jessica Vasquez, daughter of Michael Fifer and Rachel Silva, all of Kerrville; Robin Groff, daughter of Vanessa Wright; Jamie Hughes, daughter of James and Renee Phillips and Lynn and Doreen Nichols; Jennifer Matthews, daughter of Karen Jackson, all of Ingram; Kristy Weber of Comfort, daughter of Fred and Diana Weber; Cassandra Bluemel, daughter of Ronald and Christine Voeghtly; Stefan Botha, son of Adriaan and Trixie Botha; Rosanne Caddell, and Amy Garza, daughter of Pedro and Leticia Hernandez, all of Boerne; Chelsea Glocar of Harper, granddaughter of Charles and Darlene McDougall; Brenda Rosas of Pipe Creek, daughter of Bernardo and Juanita Rodriguez; E. Chris Medina of Medina, son of Oswaldo and Ellen Medina; Deltima Lindo of Fredericksburg, daughter of Jorge and Eulalia Rivas; Salita Moreno of Converse, daughter of Kerry and Kelly Alexander; Katie Gotthardt, daughter of Sterling and Kim Gotthardt, and Angie Touchtone, daughter of Connie Touchtone, served as class historian, both of San Antonio.
Amy Garza received the award for outstanding academic achievement, and Tracy Huntington received the award of excellence in clinical performance. The appreciation award goes to the Nursing Staff 2–West, Peterson Regional Medical Center.
Dr. David Jones, Kerrville radiation oncologist, was the speaker for the commencement.
