Schreiner Coffeehouse series to welcome Patrice Pike
Schreiner University Center for Innovative Learning and the Texas Heritage Music Foundation will bring Patrice Pike, a multi-dimensional musical artist to the Texas Music Coffeehouse series 7-9 p.m., Wednesday, March 4. Pike will perform in the Lion’s Den, the snack bar area in the Floyd & Kathleen Cailloux Campus Activity Center on the Schreiner campus. The program also will include a tribute to women in Texas music, in recognition of Women’s History Month.
Pike is the youngest musician to be inducted into the Texas Music Hall of Fame. In the 2006-07 Austin Music Awards, she was named Musician of the Year, Best Rock Artist and Female Vocalist of the Year. She also received an award for best song. She is co-founder of The Grace Foundation of Texas, an organization for young adult survivors of childhood homelessness.
