Thirteen Schreiner students selected for national Greek honor society

Thirteen Schreiner University have become members of the Order of Omega, a national organization that recognizes leadership, academic achievement and service among members of sororities and fraternities members. This recognition is given to only 13 percent of students in Greek organizations nationwide.

Students honored from the Schreiner chapter of Alpha Sigma Alpha are Madison Nelson, from Ingram; Hannah Clark, Winnsboro, Texas; Rae Kinkead, Central City, Iowa; Crystal Peterson, Keller, Texas; Jennifer Weber, Leander; and Kathleen Sullivan, Navasota, Texas. Carolina Rivas, San Antonio, and Kaycee Westberry were honored from Delta Phi Epsilon.

Evan Rabinowitz, of Fremont, Neb., Matthew Martinez, Austin, and Kellen Ecker, Richardson, Texas, were recognized from Chi Phi, along with Phi Delta Theta members Brad Baker, New Braunfels, and Matt Jepson, San Antonio.

Students considered for the Order of Omega must have been an initiated member of a sorority or fraternity for one year and have an overall 3.0 grade point average. They also must be exceptional in the areas of scholarship, leadership, service and brother-/sisterhood.
