Math honor society inducts 13 at Schreiner

The Schreiner Texas Mu chapter of Kappa Mu Epsilon, a national mathematics honor society, inducted 13 new members on April 7. The Schreiner Texas Mu chapter of Kappa Mu Epsilon, a national mathematics honor society, inducted 13 new members at a special ceremony April 7, in the Scarle-Philips room in the William Logan Library on the Schreiner campus.

The students recognized for academic distinction, high scholastic standards and professional merit are Kathleen Altmiller, of Buda; Ashly Bouthot, Cibolo; Audra Burnap, Grand Prairie, Texas; Keleigh Donaldson, San Antonio; Ashley Eubanks and Cameron Kuhn, Kerrville; Colton Gaitan and Rachele Herzog, Seguin; Caitlin Gayle, Pipe Creek; Colin Lawson, Sabinal, Texas; Brandon Pape, Marion, Texas; Antonio Ramirez, Hunt; and Evan Williamson, Fredericksburg.

KME, founded in 1931, has 137 active chapters at colleges and universities that offer a strong mathematics major.
