Schreiner Sports Shooters Bring Home National Medals
The Schreiner Shooting Sports Society International Trap Team earned three medals and an achievement trophy at the Association of College Unions International Clay Target National Championship Tournament in San Antonio. The Schreiner University Shooting Sports Society team won three medals and an achievement trophy at the recent Association of College Unions International Clay Target National Championship Tournament in San Antonio. The event, the largest ACUI event ever, attracted more than 350 competitors representing 43 schools.
Tori Burch, a Schreiner sophomore from Mountain Home, took home silver in Women’s International Trap. Sophomore Leo Ybanez of Corpus Christi and Evan Martin of Reno, Nev., both brought back bronze medals. Ybanez’s medal was in Men’s American Skeet, Martin’s in Men’s American Trap. The team of Burch and Ryan Vigil, a sophomore from St. George, Utah, were recognized as Most Improved American Trap Team.
