Science and theology talk at Schreiner January 25
The Schreiner University Robert P. Hallman Chautauqua Lecture Series will present “Science and Theology: Compatible or Conflicting?” Monday, Jan. 25, at 7 p.m. in the ballroom of the Floyd & Kathleen Cailloux Campus Activity Center. Eldon Sheffer, Schreiner’s director of church relations and instructor in critical thinking, will speak.
“Theology is the study of God, while science is the study of that which God has created,” Sheffer said. “If it appears that our theology and reasonable science are in conflict, perhaps our approach to them needs to be adjusted a bit.”
All Chautauqua events are free and open to the public. For more information, please contact Martha York at the Schreiner University Center for Innovative Learning 830-792-7352 or at firstname.lastname@example.org, or visit the Web site at www.schreiner.edu/cil.
