Schreiner University Vocational Nursing Graduates Recognized at Ceremony
KERRVILLE, Texas — Graduates of Schreiner University’s vocational nursing program received their diplomas during commencement ceremonies held in the Dietert Auditorium on, April 23, before an audience of friends, family and members of the University’s academic faculty.
Members of the graduating class are: Angelica Hart; Vanessa Victoria Lopez, daughter of Milton and Linda Lopez; Chrystal Nelms, historian, daughter of Larry and Sharon Jenkins; Kim Scheidle, class secretary; Beth Longnecker, class vice president, daughter of Keith Longnecker and Sue Lantzer; Barbara Kajdas, daughter of Bronislaw and Bogumila Winiarczyk; Charlene M. Jenschke, daughter of Geneveive Schaefer and the late Elgin Schaefer; Carola Davis, daughter-in-law of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Davis; Perla Richardson, daughter of Richey and Maria Richardson; Judi Mabin; Sarah J. Mraz, daughter of Myrna Maligranda and granddaughter of Don and Isabell Light; Erin L. Watson, historian, daughter of Larry and Sharon Jenkins; Tambra Morehead, daughter of Nita Kastner; Jessica L. Thomas, daughter of Ron and Grace Thomas; Stephanie Hurst, daughter of Dennis and Leann Cravey; Valerie Solansky, historian, daughter of Paul and Jeanie Solansky; Amber Kinsel, daughter of Jay and Paula Kinsel; Pamela Susan Mello, daughter of Susan Carver and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Mello; Amanda Chmylak, class treasurer, daughter of Shelley Weaver and the late Richard Weaver; Ashlie Solansky Jones, class president, daughter of Paul and Jeanie Solansky, and Amy Jureczki, daughter of Teri Sullens.
Kim Scheidle received the award for excellence in academic achievement, and Carola Davis received the award for outstanding clinical performance.
Laura Langston, RN, BSN from Peterson Regional Medical Center, was the speaker for the commencement. Langston was also the recipient of the appreciation award.
Schreiner University offers two rotations of its one-year vocational nursing certification program each year; one begins in January and one begins in April.
