Schreiner choirs offer music, dessert Feb. 25, 26
Audience members will be able to enjoy the music of Broadway performed by the Schreiner University choirs and have their dessert, too, starting at 6:30 p.m., Friday and Saturday, Feb. 25 and 26. “An Evening of Decadent Dessert and Music” will begin with gourmet coffees, wines, desserts and music served up in Schreiner’s William Logan Library. At 7:30 p.m., the action will move to Schreiner’s Dietert Auditorium, where the combined choirs will entertain with big production numbers from musical theater.
The events are open to the public. Admission for both dessert and the musical theatre performance in Dietert is $20, $15 for Schreiner students, faculty and staff, and reservations are required. Admission to the musical theater performance only is $10, $5 for students, faculty and staff, and can be purchased at the auditorium on the nights of the performance.
The Schreiner choirs are directed by Michael Kahl and will be accompanied by pianists Teresa Henneke and Kenda Delaney. All proceeds will go to the music department and to assist with the cost of future choir trips.
