Schreiner University Student Wins 2011 SACUCCA Achievement Award

Schreiner junior Avery Claire Gil from San Antonio has earned an achievement award by the San Antonio Colleges and Universities Career Centers Association.

SACUCCA will recognize Gil and four other area students March 25 for their dedication to career development in higher education with a $500 award. SACUCCA is a consortium of 17 area colleges’ and universities’ career centers including Schreiner.

Gil was selected from a pool of applicants from the SACUCCA member schools’ career centers. Each student submitted a résumé, transcript, recommendations, and a personal statement describing how their use of their school’s career center was crucial to their career development and success. Each of the five winners will receive a $500 one-time award.
