Schreiner names new Vice President for Administration and Finance
Schreiner University has named Bill Muse as its new vice president for administration and finance.
Muse will join the SU leadership team in November.
“We were gratified by the level of applicants for this critical leadership position,” said Schreiner president Dr. Tim Summerlin. “Bill Muse impressed us all with his grasp of Schreiner’s values and the challenges that higher education faces. We were likewise impressed by some of the effective solutions that he and his colleagues have developed. Both Bill and his wife, Mary, are going to be great assets to this community.”
Muse is currently serving as associate vice president for university planning, budgeting and analysis at The University of Montana.
“I am delighted and honored to have been selected to serve Schreiner University,” Muse said. “I am aware of its rich liberal arts heritage, and I share the value Schreiner places on individualized, integrated learning opportunities. The achievements of the past decade—including significant enrollment growth, program enhancements, campus improvements, and financial stability—speak to the quality of both the faculty and the executive team, and a productive and collaborative partnership with the board of trustees and friends in the community. I feel privileged to be invited to join the team, and I share in the commitment to continue the growth.”
The Muses’ are native Texans and are looking forward to coming home.
“We love the Texas Hill Country and we want to reestablish our roots by getting involved in the community and finding ways to give back to this wonderful place,” Muse said.
