Schreiner Might Have Its First Olympian
Schreiner senior Caitlin Barney Weinheimer is one giant step closer to making the U.S. Olympic shooting team for the 2012 games in London. Weinheimer won the Ladies Open Field Shotgun Trap event at the USA Shooting Fall Selection Match last weekend, the first leg in the Olympic Trials. The event took place at the Hill Country Shooting Sports Center. She will compete again in Tucson, Ariz., in May. The combination of scores from these two events will determine who makes the 2012 team, and Weinheimer is going into the final competition with a six-target lead, the result of an exceptional three days of competition here in Kerrville.
