Schreiner Volunteer Program to Hold Open House October 30
The Schreiner University Community Volunteer Program is hosting an open house at the Schreiner Mansion Historic Site and Education Center on Tuesday, Oct. 30 from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Come and learn more about how you can volunteer for Schreiner University. Current volunteer needs:
*Special collections processing: Use technology to scan photos and books and transfer them to digital library files.
* Schreiner Mansion: Needing docents, gardeners, holiday decorators and program leaders for tours and various programs.
*Experts: Looking for all and any industry or self- proclaimed experts that could impact, advance and enrich student’s education and lives. Looking for specifically these fields: information science, physical therapy, medical field and psychology.
*Health and wellness: Work in health clinic and assist campus nurse and volunteer doctor. Computer skills are a plus.
*General clerical: Work in departments in office needs, mailings and other projects.
*Special events: Various tasks associated with fundraising, campus activities, events and lectures.
*Videographer: Assist in videoing campus events, classes and other activities.
