Chautauqua lecture at Schreiner will explore writing on Texas Music
Schreiner University’s own Dr. Kathleen Hudson, professor of English and founder of the Texas Heritage Music Foundation, will present: “Writing about Texas Music: Sharing Stories and Songs” as part of the University’s Robert P. Hallman Chautauqua lecture series at 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 29, in the ballrooms of the Floyd & Kathleen Cailloux Campus Activity Center.
During this event, Schreiner students will share their writings on songs of Texas and Hudson will share some research on the poetry of her freshman composition class. The class, which writes essays on the music, venues and history of Texas will present along with Hudson.
