The luncheon will be held in the ballroom on the second floor of the Floyd & Kathleen Cailloux Campus Activity Center. It is free and open to the public but reservations are requested. Please call 830-792-7201 or e-mail lejohnson@schreiner.edu to make a reservation.

HCCF provides need-based scholarship funds for Schreiner students from Kerr, Gillespie, Kendall, Bandera, Edwards, Kimble and Real counties.

The fund has been active for more than 35 years and has a goal of $565,000 this year. One hundred percent of the money raised goes directly to grants.

“Our theme this year is Pay it Forward and Change a Life and HCCF is the epitome of that,” said Beth Johnson, development officer at Schreiner. “More than 50 community volunteers will work for four months securing donations. This is changing our students lives and we need the community’s support to keep it going.”

The Hill Country College Fund officers for this year are chair Harold Crocker, Crocker Real Estate; advanced gifts leader, Jeff Talarico, Ameriprise financial advisor; business gifts leader, Mike Graxiola, publisher, Kerrville Daily Times; community gifts leader, Helen Herd, community leader; and university gift leaders, Cindy Becker, administrative assistant to the president and Dr. David Smith, dean of the Cailloux School of Professional Studies.

Hill Country community members can help the HCCF by donating time as a volunteer or by making a monetary donation. To volunteer, call 830-792-7201. Donors can give online at www.schreiner.edu/giving.
