Schreiner’s Choir to Perform April 22
Schreiner University’s four choirs will present a Spring Choral Concert at 6 p.m., Sunday, April 22, at First Presbyterian Church in Kerrville. The choirs are under the direction of Michael Kahl, assistant professor of music, and they will be accompanied on the piano by Kenda Delaney. The choirs will sing a range of musical works from classical to popular. The event is free and open to the public.
“This is the last choir concert of the school year and before some members of the choir embark on a choir tour to Ireland in May to represent Schreiner and the Hill Country,” said Kahl. “This will also be the last concert for several seniors who will be graduating in May and who have been an integral part of the choir for the last several years. The styles of music will range from folk music from Ireland to Tanzania, to an original arrangement of a contemporary pop song called ‘Hide and Seek’ by Imogen Heap, as well as an arrangement of ‘Seaside Rendezvous’ written by the rock group Queen.”
