Schreiner to host Student Academic Achievement Showcase

Student Achievement Showcase

Schreiner University students are bright, talented and hard-working students, and it shows.

The community is invited to the 2013 Schreiner Student Achievement Showcase, Tuesday, April 23, in the Floyd & Kathleen Cailloux Campus Activity Center.

Students will present posters, oral presentations, artwork and performances on original research, creative accomplishments and other projects they are working on.

“This public event is an opportunity for students to present original scholarly and artistic work to the campus community and beyond,” said Dr. Chris Distel, assistant professor of biology. “This event goes beyond classroom assignments by asking students to capture a novel contribution to their academic field and present it to a general audience. Topics will include poetry, political science, photography, scientific experiments, analysis of global issues, music, social concerns, religion, psychology, fashion, history, nursing and more.”

In conjunction with the Schreiner University Academic Fair, the 14th annual Pop Culture Symposium will explore “Gaming” from 4 to 5 p.m. April 23 in the River Room and Schreiner Recliner in the Kathleen & Floyd Cailloux Campus Center on SU campus.
