Monday Night Fiction to discuss ‘The Lifeboat’

Schreiner University’s Monday Night Fiction series will explore “The Lifeboat” by Charlotte Rogan at 7 p.m., Monday, April 15, at the Schreiner Recliner in the Floyd and Kathleen Cailloux Campus Activity Center. Dr. Candice Scott, associate VPAA for Library, Technology and Academic Affairs will lead the discussion.

“The Lifeboat” is a story about 22-year-old Grace Winter who is a newlywed and a widow and on trial for her life. In 1914, the ocean liner carrying Grace and her husband, Henry, suffers a mysterious explosion. Amidst the chaos, the passengers soon learn that one of the lifeboats has exceeded capacity.

“The Lifeboat” is a novel of survival and hard choices.
