Schreiner Shooting Sports Team off to great season start
The Schreiner Shooting Sports Team competed in the Association of College Unions International Lower Midwest Regional Clay Target Championship at the San Antonio Gun Club on Feb. 16-17 and left with numerous medals.
Drucilla Meier, sophomore from Clyde, and Neal Hodges, sophomore from Bandera, won honors in the Sporting Clays category. Meier took second place in the Ladies’ Division, and Hodges won second place in the Men’s Division.
In the Men’s American Trap category, Dustin English, a junior from Wimberly, won a silver medal.
The team has had great success in the early part of the season and hopes to continue the accomplishments as the semester progresses.
The Schreiner Shooting Sports Teams, which have been active since 2006, has nine members on its competition team and 30 members on its recreation team.
