Texas Music Coffeehouse Series to pay homage to Black History Month on Feb. 6

Schreiner University’s Texas Music Coffeehouse Series will celebrate Black History Month with a performance by Johnny Nicholas at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 6, in the Lion’s Den in the Floyd and Kathleen Cailloux Campus Activity Center on Schreiner campus.

Nicholas has played and sang Americana Roots Music and Blues for four decades, and he has performed with legends including, Mississippi Fred McDowell, Robert Lockwood, Roosevelt Sykes and Boogie Woogie Red. For more information on Nicholas, visit

Open mic will start at 7 p.m. and continue after Nicholas has played his set.
The Texas Music Coffeehouse Series is free and open to the public, and is co-sponsored by Schreiner’s Center for Innovative Learning, the Texas Heritage Music Foundation and the Schreiner Student Activities Board.
