Monday Night Fiction continues with ‘The Reader’ on Feb. 11

Monday Night Fiction: "The Reader"

Schreiner University’s Monday Night Fiction series will pick back up with a discussion of “The Reader” by Bernhard Schlink at 7 p.m., Monday, Feb. 11, at the Schreiner Recliner in the Floyd and Kathleen Cailloux Campus Activity Center. Silke Feltz, instructor of English and German, will lead the discussion of the book.

“The Reader” is the story of a 15-year-old boy in postwar Germany who has a passionate affair with a mysterious woman twice his age before she disappears. After many years, he sees his first love again—as she is on trial for an awful crime.

Monday Night Fiction is free and open to the public, and is sponsored by Schreiner’s Center for Innovative Learning. For more information about this or any other Schreiner University humanities event, contact Martha York at 830-792-7352.
