Schreiner University Collecting Donations to Benefit Animal Shelter
In honor of National Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Month, Schreiner University’s office of Student Activities and Volunteer Service is sponsoring a Pet Supply Donation Drive April 1-5. The community is asked to donate pet food, new toys, treats and bedding to support the Freeman Fritz Animal Shelter and Clinic.
“Civic engagement helps the students see themselves as part of a larger community,” said Angie Bauman, director of student activities and volunteer service at SU. “A lot of students have pets back home, so we thought they would really connect with a pet supply donation drive.”
Donations can be dropped off at the Office of Student Activities and Volunteer Service in the Floyd & Kathleen Cailloux Campus Activity Center, near the Lion's Den, on the Schreiner campus.
For more information please contact Bauman, at firstname.lastname@example.org or 830-792-7283.
