Chautauqua Lecture slated for Nov. 25
Schreiner University’s Robert P Hallman Chautauqua Lecture will wrap up for the semester with a panel discussion focusing on “Understanding Gay Rights” at 7 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 25, at the Floyd & Kathleen Cailloux Campus Activity Center ballroom on the SU campus.
Dr. Mary Grace Antony, assistant professor of communication studies office and chair of the diversity committee, will lead the discussion and has invited Dr. Richard Reams, associate director of Trinity University’s counseling services; Alan Conley, founder of Parents and Friends of Lesbians and Gays Kerrville Chapter; Sara Schmidt, the Allied Advance—a group which provides a supportive environment for gay, lesbian and bisexual students—representative on campus, and seniors who have researched gay rights to participate.
