Schreiner Study Club will show ‘Bladerunner’ Oct. 10

The Schreiner Study Club

Schreiner Study Club will continue its series with a showing of “Bladerunner” at 7 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 10 at the Schreiner Mansion.  

The remaining fall courses scheduled for October 22 and 29 will cover “Utopian and Dystopian Literature and Film.”

The price for the course is $75 per person, and only 20 spots remain available.

Dr. William Woods, dean of the school of liberal arts at Schreiner University, will lead the classes and discuss some of the best examples of utopian/dystopian novels including, “Brave New World,” “1984,” “Lord of the Flies,” and “World Made by Hand,” as well as view short clips from films such as “Avatar,” “V for Vendetta,” “Fight Club,” “Brazil,” and “Cloud Atlas.”
