Past is Prologue slated for Oct. 19
The annual Past Is Prologue workshop, co-sponsored by Schreiner University’s Center for Innovative Learning and Past Is Prologue: A Learning Way, will be hosted from 9 a.m. to noon and 1:30 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 19, in the Hanszen Fine Arts Theatre on Schreiner campus. This year’s workshop will be led by Mobi Warren, a local educator and master naturalist, who will present “Ancient Wisdom in Times of Change.”
Warren, a teacher in San Antonio, also is a writer, a climate activist and organizer of San Antonio 350, which is affiliated with 350.org, the international grassroots campaign for climate action.
The Past is Prologue Educational Program is based on an ancient Native American approach to learning that focuses on right and left brain coordination, listening and respect for all ways.
On Oct. 19, there will be two sessions at 9:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Registration for the workshops will begin at 9 a.m. Participants can choose to attend for a half day or stay for both programs.
The workshops are free and open to the public, however, space is limited. Participants can earn up to six continuing education credits for attending both workshops. To register, call or email Dr. Kathleen Hudson at 830-792-7409 or at firstname.lastname@example.org. Those interested also can sign up for only the morning or afternoon session.
