Music at the Mansion Memberships Available for Limited Time

Music at the Mansion

The second half of the inaugural season of Music at the Mansion will begin at 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 13 with a performance at 7 p.m. by Sara Hickman and Trout Fishing in America.

There is a small window of opportunity to participate in this important Kerrville cultural experience. There are memberships available at the pro-rated charge of $300 for the remaining three concerts of the season. Members will receive two tickets to each concert and admission to a reception where they can enjoy wine and hors d’oeuvres as well as meet and mingle with the performers and other patrons of the arts.

The membership also puts these patrons first in line for next year’s limited number of memberships.

Music at the Mansion is a collaboration between Schreiner University and the Kerrville Folk Festival to bring world-class entertainers to Kerrville. The concerts, hosted at the Schreiner Mansion Historic Site and Education Center in downtown Kerrville began in March.

Upcoming artists set to perform after Sara Hickman and Trout Fishing in America include, Christine Albert & Chris Gage and Hal Ketchum on Friday, Oct. 18 and Tom Prasada-Rao and Jimmy LaFave on Friday, Dec. 6.

“Music at the Mansion is a great example of community partners working together to showcase the history and culture that make the Texas Hill Country special,” said Bill Muse, vice president for administration and finance and one of the organizers of the event. “We are pleased to be collaborating with the Kerrville Folk Festival, which has a 41-year tradition of bringing outstanding musical performances to this community. Hearing authentic Texas music performed by the songwriters in this beautiful old home of Kerrville’s (and Schreiner’s) founder is a unique and enjoyable experience.”
