SU student receives Judith and Jo A. Beran General Chemistry Stipend
The Schreiner University department of chemistry recently met and selected Camila Anquiano ’17 as next fall’s recipient of the fourth annual Judith and Jo A. Beran General Chemistry Stipend.
Anquiano, a chemistry major, was part of the Vesalius Learning and Living community—a society geared toward freshmen who are interested in science and health care majors—her freshman year and recently joined the honors program.
“I am extremely grateful and honored to have been selected as the Judith and Jo. A. Beran General Chemistry Stipend recipient,” Anquiano said. “Thank you to all of my professors who encouraged me to do my best in all my classes and a very special ‘thank you’ to Dr. Vines for nominating me for this great opportunity and being such a great chemistry professor.”
The Judith and Jo A. Beran General Chemistry Endowment was established in 2011 to encourage students to continue their education in the sciences.
