Hill Country residents age 55 or older who want to audit Schreiner University’s educational offerings in the spring will need to apply for audit (non-degree) status by Friday, Jan. 13, 2017.
The cost to apply for senior audit status is $25. The applicant must furnish proof of age, but a transcript is not required. Application can be made in the Admissions Office in the Schreiner University Welcome Center or online at www.schreiner.edu/admissions.
Students accepted as senior auditors will register for courses between 9 and 11a.m. on Friday, Jan. 20, in the Registrar’s Office, upstairs in the Cailloux Campus Activity Center. Visitor parking is available next to the building.
Cost is $50 per credit hour, and most courses are three credit hours. Class enrollment is based on space-available basis. Auditors do not receive grades and do not earn credit hours.
Courses possibly available for audit include: Creative Writing, British Literature 2, Studies in Poetry, Playwriting, History of the English Language, Religion in Literature and Film, LGBT Studies (Literature and Genres), Modern Culture and Intellectual History, Readings in U.S. History, History of Mathematics, History and Practice of Sacred Music, Politics and the Media, International Law, Comparative International Political Systems, Regional Study of Asia, and Introduction to Texas Studies.
