Dr. Kathleen Hudson will be the first speaker in the annual Chautauqua speaker series on November 28 from 4-5 p.m. in the Library Scarle Philips Room and will speaking on Chaos Gives Birth to Dancing Stars: One story of Inspiration.
“When we listen for learning, we hear what we need to learn. When we listen for inspiration, we can have the possibility of being newly inspired.” The listening community will have the chance to hear a story with an ear for inspiration that can make a difference to every person in the room. Based on the ideas regarding the brain presented on the PBS special, The Brain, by David Eagleman, the presentation is relevant to every human being who are open to being inspired.
The Chautauqua Speaker series at Schreiner University is designed to engage faculty, students, staff and the community in thought and dialog about big ideas and issues. This year’s Big Idea theme is “inspiration” and is intended to be interpreted very broadly across a range of disciplines. All sessions are free and open to the public. Sponsored by the Center for Teaching and Learning.
