Schreiner University welcomed three new trustees in 2004. The dedication of such individuals to the highest ideals of learning is an inspiration to the community.

Angeline Polk Richmond and her husband Ed live in San Antonio where she received her Bachelor of Arts from Trinity University in 1960. She then went on to earn her Master of Science in education from Baylor University. She is affiliated with First Presbyterian Church, San Antonio; Presbyterian Women; and the Nuestra Casa Auxiliary of Presbyterian Children’s Homes, San Antonio. Her hobbies include traveling, reading, and spending time with her family, which includes two daughters and twin granddaughters.


Rev. Dr. Warren Hornung
and his wife Anita live in Kerrville, where he is pastor of the First United Methodist Church (UMC). He is a 1956 graduate of Gonzales High School and received his Bachelor of Arts in 1959 from Moody Bible Institute. In 1961 he attended Wheaton College, Illinois, where he received a Bachelor of Arts in anthropology and in 1966 he graduated from SMU Perkins School of Theology with his Master of Theology. Rounding out a diverse educational career, Dr. Hornung earned his Master of Arts in anthropology in 1967 from University of Texas in Austin, and in 1972 received his Doctor of Ministry from Claremont School of Theology. Dr. Hornung is the recipient of the Martin Luther King Award from Southwest Texas Conference, UMC, and many awards and honors. His pastimes include hunting, fishing and farming.

Charles W. Sapp and his wife Lorraine live in San Antonio. He is a 1952 graduate of Volga Public High School and in 1956 received his Bachelor of Science from South Dakota State University in food technology. Mr. Sapp went on to earn an advanced degree in food technology and business administration in 1960 from Michigan State University. He worked for many years as an executive in marketing with HEB and is a member of the Institute of Food Technologists and the Council on Independent Living. The HEB Central Market concept was developed by Sapp.
