The second annual San Antonio Area Schreiner Former Students Association Christmas Gathering will be held on Wednesday, December 7, 2005 at Fort Sam Houston’s Fort Sam Club. Tom Baldwin ’84, president of the San Antonio Chapter of SFSA, invites all Schreiner former students to join the great fellowship and holiday fun beginning at 6 p.m. There will be good music provided by members of Schreiner University’s choir and brief presentations by the four national officers of the Schreiner Former Students Association. There is no charge to attend. The Schreiner Board of Trustees recently voted to include the current president of the Schreiner Former Students Association as a member of the Schreiner University Advisory Board of Trustees. Beginning immediately, each SFSA president will automatically be a member of the SU Advisory Board during his/her term of office. Both boards are confident that this close tie will greatly benefit both bodies as they will be able to work more closely together to attain mutual objectives.

Presidents of SFSA begin two-year terms at an annual meeting of the SFSA board, normally held during Recall. Current president Donna Riojas Gay ’74 began her term in April 2005.
