“Midnight Madness”
on October 20 gave Mountaineer fans a first glimpse of Schreiner’s athletic teams.

Fans were treated to a slam dunk contest and saw the women triumph over the men in the three-point shootout. Several lucky students were selected at random to participate in a cash grab contest, and shooting contests for prizes.

Josh Horn, a sophomore from Pipe Creek, was fortunate enough to be chosen to attempt to win a 2005 Mercury Mountaineer, courtesy of Ken Stoepel Ford Lincoln Mercury.

The evening’s events came to a close with the unveiling of the new Mountaineer mascots—the mountain man and the mountain lion.
