Recall 2005 was a huge success, with 50 percent more former students and a whopping 800 percent more current students attending the event than last year’s Recall. Saturday afternoon’s picnic was attended by both former and current students, as well as Schreiner staff and faculty. Current students held a baking contest where everyone had the chance to taste samples and cast a vote.

Another highlight of the weekend was Casino Night, and several players parlayed an initial investment of chips into fortunes. An auction sponsored by SFSA and Student Services was held toward the end of the evening. The Military Tribute Breakfast was highlighted by a presentation by Bill Alsobrook ’94, corporal, U.S. Army, who just recently returned from a tour in Iraq.

The 20th Annual Randy Shepler Golf Tournament had 86 golfers vying for prizes and trophies. Other activities of Recall 2005 included the Fredericksburg tour, the Texas Music Coffeehouse, the first annual varsity/alumni tennis tournament and the Sunday morning worship service. For many, the highlight was the time they spent with former classmates and friends and just catching up on each other’s lives. Recall ’06 will again fall on April Fool’s Day, so mark your calendar now.
