Who/what/where inspires you & why? I am inspired by my father, Dr. Donald Vines, a retired surgeon and army colonel, because he served in Vietnam and Desert Storm and has always been there for me throughout my life. I am inspired by our military because they are each one willing to give the ultimate sacrifice to keep us free. I am inspired by the Texas Hill Country's beautiful scenery and wildlife because it makes me feel blessed.
Hobbies/interests/extra-curricular activities outside SU: Writing poetry, walking my dogs, exercising, canning fresh vegetables, gardening and working in the yard, politics, random acts of kindness, Kerr County Republican Women, Big Fix, UltraFit, and Trinity Baptist Church

Favorite class to teach @ SU & why: CHEM 3411, because I love organic chemistry, and it's my first opportunity to engage the students into this realm of chemistry.
Why do you like Schreiner? There are so many reasons that I love Schreiner. First, it is a Christian affiliated university. Second, its faculty and staff are the most dedicated and caring people. Third, it has the best students! Fourth, I think it is in the most beautiful location in Texas.
