What's on your night stand right now?: "The Curious Incident of the dog in the Night-time" by Mark Haddon

Who/what/where inspires you & why? God, family, nature, art (poetry and music most), friends, horses and pets -- pretty much in that order

Hobbies/interests/extra-curricular activities OUTSIDE SU: Creative writing, horses, martial arts, yoga, gardening, hiking

Activities/interests/associations ON CAMPUS: I'm interested in anything that has to do with writing -- my students' and my colleagues' writing and readings. I'm hoping to find more time to get involved in campus life this year.

Favorite class to teach @ SU & why:  So far my favorite class would have to be a "Topics" class in historical writing which I was fortunate enough to teach this summer.

Why do you like Schreiner?  Schreiner is a great size and space to see each other's work at work.
