How long have you been with Schreiner?
I joined the Schreiner family on October 3, 2005.
Where were you prior? Prior to coming to Schreiner, I worked as a freelance writer in order to be at home with my little girl.
Favorite food: Anything Italian
What do you like best about Schreiner University? How friendly everyone is! People all across campus have gone out of their way to be welcoming and helpful. Also, the campus is beautiful. I really enjoy walking the loop in the afternoon and seeing all the deer roaming free.
What do you like best about your position at Schreiner? First and foremost, I feel blessed to do what I love for a living. Just as important to me is the fact that I enjoy the people that I work with. They are all very creative and supportive and fun to be around.
What Schreiner events do you enjoy? Monday Night Fiction is my favorite so far. I also enjoyed the Margaret Syers Lecture Series with Dr. Dennis Huston.
Favorite books: Anything by Dean Koontz, Patricia Cornwell, Harlen Coben and many more.
Favorite vacation spot: The beach
What do you like to do during your weekends? I like to spend time with my husband and daughter. We use the weekends to explore Kerrville and the surrounding areas and we have stumbled upon some wonderful places.
Is there any particular advice you would give to students? Find what you love to do and go for it. Life is more fun if you are doing what you love.
