note: While at Schreiner,
Micah was a top player on the Men's Soccer team ...Go Mountaineers!
What do you like best about Schreiner University? I enjoy the family atmosphere the most. Everyone I have worked with,
and even throughout school, has been very supportive and encouraging
– just like family. I also like the small town setting. My
wife and I have a son, and we just love the safe feeling, and simplicity
of Kerrville.
What
do you like best about your position at Schreiner?
The people in Student
Services are absolutely wonderful! I also enjoy working with
and for the students. It’s great to see them grow and accomplish
their goals. Another perk is that I get to go on cool trips, like
the one to Big Bend!
What Schreiner events do you enjoy? You will never miss me at a home soccer match! I am so supportive
of those guys, especially since I am soccer
alumni! Conference playoffs this year! Yeah!
Favorite books:
My favorite books to read right now are the ones that I am required
to read for graduate school, though I actually do find them interesting!
An example: Interviewing for Solutions by Peter DeJong
and Insoo Kim Berg.
Favorite
vacation spot: My favorite vacation spot is Cozumel, Mexico. My wife and I went
this summer and it was beautiful. We snorkeled, baked in the sun,
and played soccer with the locals.
What
do you like to do during your weekends?
I like to spend my weekends with the family of course! We usually
play outside or go some place cool like the zoo. My son likes the
monkeys!
Is
there any particular advice you would give to students?
Yes. Take all of your prerequisite courses first. You do not want
to get your major courses under your belt, and then all of the sudden
decide you want to change your major to a completely unrelated field.
Also don’t drink and drive. |
