How long have you been at Schreiner?
I worked in the admissions office as a student worker
for four years until my graduation in May 2005 and have been in my
current position since July 2005.
What do you like best about Schreiner? I like the small community feel, coming from a large city I really enjoy the small town atmosphere. I like being able to go to the grocery store and see a lot of people that I know.
What do you like best about your position? I like being able to speak to many different people about Schreiner. I really enjoy informing people about the campus who have never heard of us before. I also enjoy traveling throughout Texas on my
recruiting trips.
What events do you enjoy about Schreiner?
I really enjoy the Texas Heritage Music Coffee Houses: it is great to relax with a cup of coffee listening to great music with friends. I have also enjoyed participating in the
Mountaineer 5k and 24 Hour bike ride.
Favorite Food: Mamacita's and
Alamo Café (really any kind of food, I like to try all kinds of food
 Favorite Books:
Anything by Dean Koonz or John Grisham.
The Client is my favorite book by Grisham.
Favorite Vacation spot:
The Bahamas, Paradise Island is the most beautiful place I have been.
Is there any advice you would give to students? Get involved. It is always important to be active in your community. Learn to say "no". It is very easy to be over extended with all of the various groups and activities that are available to a student at Schreiner. And lastly, have fun! College is full of new experiences for one to be immersed in. College will be the best four years of you life! Cherish these years you will miss them when it is over.
